Looking tired? Here’s why - and how I can help!

Many of my patients come in saying the same thing:

“I just look tired all the time… even when I’m not.”

It’s one of the most common concerns I see in clinic and often, it’s not about needing anything dramatic. It’s about understanding what’s changed and taking a subtle, tailored approach to restoring a fresher, more rested appearance.

Why do we start to look tired?

As we age, a number of small changes begin to happen and together, they can make us look more fatigued than we feel. Giving us a sense that no matter how rested we feel its not what is reflected back at us when we look in the mirror. This can be due to:

  • Loss of volume through the mid-face

  • Changes around the under-eye area

  • Skin becoming thinner or less hydrated

  • Fine lines becoming more noticeable

  • Lifestyle factors such as sleep, stress and hydration

It’s rarely just one thing — and that’s why a personalised approach is so important.

How can we improve a tired appearance?

The aim is never to make you look different just more like yourself on a well-rested day.

Depending on what’s contributing most, this may involve a combination of treatments, such as:

Not everyone will need all of these and often, less is more.

My Approach

My approach is always centred around natural, balanced results.

I’ll always take the time to assess your face as a whole and understand what’s changed, before recommending anything. Treatments are introduced gradually, with the aim of helping you look refreshed never overdone.

That’s completely normal.

Most people don’t come in knowing exactly what treatment they want — they just know how they feel when they look in the mirror.

A consultation is the best place to start. We can talk things through properly and create a plan that feels right for you.

The Aesthetics Room Dorset is based in Christchurch UK and welcomes patients from the surrounding areas of Bournemouth and Poole.
